“Lower back pain” refers to any pain or discomfort experienced in the bottom region of the spine, which is known as the lumbar spine and maybe caused by injury to a muscle (strain) or ligament (sprain). This region supports most of the upper body’s weight.

  • Achy, dull pain

  • During the first 24 to 48 hours, use ice wrapped in a towel or cloth. Ice helps to reduce swelling, muscle spasms, and pain. Thereafter, switch to heat. Heat helps warm and relaxes sore tissues

  • Protecting the back by using knee braces or supports
  • Orthotics in case of a mal alignment
